Psychic Home Improvement:

Do Some Astral Spring Cleaning

Feng Shui is a form of curing what ails the household, room by room—chakra colors are the dominating colors for each part of the body that bring the energy to the surface and give empowerment. When you combine the two forms, movement (wind and water) with the colors of the spiritual centers of the body you can heal the house, comfort the spirit, body and mind.

Let’s start at the top and work our way down.

Crown (Top of Head): Purple, a color that is wonderful for pillows. To rest your head on either in the bedroom or the couch.

Third Eye (Center of Forehead): Indigo. This color is good for your meditation room or, if you don’t have a meditation room, the sacred space where you relax.

Throat: Blue. Eating off of a blue plate would enhance the taste and vision of the food. And here we have the “blue plate special”—the kitchen is a good place for blue and if you have a music room, it would work wonders in there as well.

Heart (Center of Chest): Green. This is a healing color, the color of life—plants. Having some green in the bathroom makes every morning a good morning. Rugs, shower curtain, a hanging plant that likes moisture all fit into the green energy.

Solar Plexus (Above Navel, Below Chest): Yellow. Breathe in, breathe out. See the sun in the morning. Great color for the kitchen walls. Also, a pale yellow will help you to sleep and can be added in accents throughout the bedroom.

Sacral (Between Navel and Genitals): Orange. Sheets for the bed. Peach color would work too. A guest room with touches of orange would bring the warmth of home to an overnight guest.

Root (Base of the Spine): Red. Chairs, making the back comfortable. A red leather couch, a big red chair in any room of the house. In the bathroom a red wood toilet seat would be lovely.

Black, white and shades of grey can be brought in with metal, like silver, lighting, floors and walls. Basic white is a good foundation, frames of black give a polished look—also, gold energy brings a richness and vibrant vibration to any room. Mirrors are of a silver nature and create a sense of depth and roominess to a small room. Mirrors are also a way to attract money into the house. If the bathroom faces the front door of your home make sure the bathroom door is always closed so that money does not go out the front door needlessly. Hanging a picture above the toilets keeps the ch’i from being flushed away as well. In this day and age of uncluttered clean space, it’s helpful to use Feng Shui for success in all areas of your life.
